Discussing the mousetrap example of Irreducible Complexity. I know, stupid me. In the same thread, she asked me the following questions (which are apparently appropriate on a science thread):
So….tell me about Blipey. Married? Kids? Brothers, sisters? Where did you go to college? Have any normal friends there?
So, here is the perfect thread to discuss those things; maybe she’ll drop by and ask a few questions?

Ftk is a vat of stupidity, much like your run of the mill creationist (though maybe stupider than most). I’m not sure how you define rabid, but I think she’s the most dangerous kind of creationist. She’s the kind that shows up at school board meetings and hearings, the kind that if she were living in Dover, PA would vote for including ID in the classroom. The kind of creationist that can cause stupidity in the classroom, loss of tax dollars in both the schools (performance ratings, district perception and attractiveness) and the courts.
I think it is important to expose those who would cheapen our educational system. And I think it is important to continue to hammer on them for all the world to see.
The IDiots like DaveScot are more fun to discuss and make fun of, but IMO are far less dangerous. The DaveScots of the world are blowhards–funny, but in no real danger of hurting anyone but themselves. The Ftk’s of the world are far more interested in hurting others (perhaps unwittingly) than is DaveTard.
What do you recommend be done about such people? Re-education at Mao style internment camps?
Certainly not. I would recommend paying attention to who it is that runs for your local school board. IMO, far too few people take their voting rights seriously. If you can’t be bothered to take an interest in your community and its elections, then you deserve to get crappy representatives.
I recommend doing exactly what proponents of good education have been doing all over the country–vote the IDiots out. Expose them for the tards they are in places like Dover.
Ftk has the right to think and vote as she chooses. Ftk also has the right to publicly voice these opinions. This last right comes with a price, however. With publicity, comes praise and ridicule. If you choose to be public, you cannot shrink from either.
