Ah, yes–middle school students. Are they evil, or what?
Our show is ideally played for 4th and 5th graders, a little younger is good also (especially if it is an all-school audience). We played for 6th & 7th graders at both schools today. While some of the material is fine for them and the history lessons are appropriate, some of the presentation might be a little…well, Sesame Street-ish leaning. This, of course, means that young kids and adults like it but middle schoolers, not so much. But, what really, does that age group like; it’s just cool to dislike things at that age.
I think they did enjoy it though, which is a testament to material, the writing, and maybe even a little bit for Janell and I (but probably not).
I could do with seeing some grade schoolers tomorrow, on any account.
